On Wednesday, January 4th, Cambridge police shot and killed 20 year old Cambridge resident, Arif Sayed Faisal, as he was experiencing a mental health crisis. We stand in solidarity and comfort for his family and community as they mourn his unjustified death. Give what you can to his family’s GofundMe.
The Bangladesh Association of New England is organizing a rally and protest in front of Cambridge City Hall on Monday, January 9th at 3pm. We urge you to attend the rally and protest. Additionally, we urge all Cambridge residents to make public comment at the January 9th City Council meeting at 5:30pm to condemn the police department’s action. Police brutality is inexcusable and the police department must be held accountable for what they’ve done to Arif Sayed Faisal’s family and community.
