OverviewJoin us for our July monthly meeting! We'll be discussing the written resolutions for our Priority Campaigns. These campaigns will be what the group thinks will be most important for us to build power and a movement in Somerville. We'll also be plugging Evan Mackay's campaign, and other ongoing projects in DSA. Afterwards we'll head to Davis Sq for a social at a nearby bar or restaurant. Nobody is turned away for lack of experience!

LogisticsIf this is your first DSA meeting: Please arrive 15 minutes early so I can go over some basics like community norms and answer questions you may have.No food or drinks please! Not only because it can make a mess; the church has a strict no nuts policy. Water is ok.We will have a social after at a nearby bar or restaurant so you can get refreshments afterwards.Getting into the building: Please come in through the College Ave side, there will be someone holding open the yellow door (not the one in front of the big sign). Then go up the stairs, through the Sanctuary, and into the Parlor on the right.Accessible entrance: Please come in through the Francesca Ave entrance. Call me to let you in through the door. Then take a right through the hall and another right. Take the elevator to the second floor and follow signs for the Parlor.

  • Evan For Cambridge - Vote Phonebank July 22nd

    July 22, 2026 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
    TBD, TBD

Join neighbors and supporters of our movement to call voters in order to help get Evan elected!Recently we saw incredible victories in the form of sweeping electoral wins across NYC & Denver. We will have for the first time in the history of this country a Democratic Socialist Caucus in Congress - with 5 DSA members!!What’s clear is that working people are fighting back against our capitalist enemies, and it is scaring the establishment that democratic socialists can win & govern! Here in Massachusetts, we have our own opportunity to demonstrate the power of people over profit, in the form of DSA endorsed candidate, Evan Mackay. Winning Evan’s election will not be easy. The Democratic Party machine is against us, and wants to defeat our movement. This is our opportunity to reach voters, and convince them that a better world, a more democratic and transparent state house, is possible. But it will take every single one of us to make this happen. Join us to call voters to tell them about this campaign we are in the last weeks of this campaign!---Massachusetts needs an honest, accountable, and effective state government that can deliver on our values and stand up to the Trump administration. Wear multiple layers and warm clothes, and bring your positivity and enthusiasm 😊Evan MacKay is a union leader, pro-democracy organizer, and a Harvard teaching fellow. We will be meeting in the STEAM set, which is on the first floor of the building. It is straight ahead to the back if you come in through the front entrance, and the first room on your right if you come in through the side entrance.
