Boston is hosting a movie night! Join the BDSA Healthcare Working Group, along with our friends from the Massachusetts Nurses Association and Mass-Care, for a film screening of American Hospitals: Healing A Broken System followed by a panel discussion with healthcare advocates in the state. The film explores hospitals’ roles in spiraling healthcare costs, including their incentives to increase prices, the monopolistic practices of many large hospital systems, and the pervasive inequities in access and treatment.
The screening will be at the Landmark Kendall Square Cinema on Wednesday, April 12th from 7pm-9pm. Email jjohnson@mnarn.org with the subject line “TICKET” and your full name to reserve a complimentary ticket. Complimentary tickets are limited to the first 70 people to RSVP; additional tickets are available at the Landmark Kendall Square Cinema.
About American Hospitals — Today hospital care is too often about money and power rather than serving the health needs of patients and communities. The film identifies innovative solutions that deserve national attention to restore hospitals to their historic focus on community health at affordable costs. Watch the trailer here to learn more.
