Working Mass Readers,

This October marks the four-year anniversary of Working Mass. And what an amazing four years it has been.

Since we launched our little media outlet in October of 2020, we have written more than 100 articles, held panels on the pressing questions facing the labor and socialist movements, and run by-the-minute threads on Twitter – all with the goal of elevating workers’ stories, sharing their fights in their own words, and providing a space to discuss strategy for the on-going revival of the labor movement.

We have tried to report from the front lines of the important episodes of class struggle, from the picket lines, protests, canvasses, and barricades – bringing stories and lessons from the movement to you, our readers. And we are so grateful for the support we have received so far.

We have long sought to move beyond the limits of an all-volunteer publication, because we know it takes resources to continue and expand our coverage on a sustainable basis. Our coverage of the student encampments this Spring was a huge step in this direction, as we raised money to purchase new camera equipment and cover other costs. The outpouring of support was so great that we were able to begin commissioning paid articles, which has long been a goal in our quest for sustainability.

Thanks to your continued support, we are now in a financial position to expand our coverage even further !

We are please to announce we are launching a bi-monthly print edition. Our print edition will deliver the coverage you value right to your mailbox, as well as featuring pictures, infographics, and upcoming local events. The first issue will launch in early October, covering October and November, with a second issue scheduled for December/January.

As part of this launch, we are kicking off a subscription drive with the goal of 50 subscribers. If you already donate monthly to Working Mass, you monthly donation has been converted into a print subscription.
