Boston DSA has signed onto a resolution for cross-union/organization anti-Nazi organizing meetings and actions. The resolution reads as follows:
Labor Call to Action
Increasing Neo-Nazi Activity in Massachusetts is a Labor Issue!
Three months after gaining power in 1933, Hitler abolished all German unions!
We, members of organized Labor and community allies, hereby unite to oppose the rising tide of hate and violence at the hands of neo-Nazi groups in Massachusetts and beyond. African-American, Transgender, Jewish and Asian communities have been the most frequently targeted in recent years. Not a week goes by without some report of harassment or assault on our people.
The time has come to say, ‘No more!’
The most brazen of these local attacks occurred July 2nd, 2022, when members of the Patriot Front assaulted Charles Murrell, a local African-American artist, in broad daylight in front of the Boston Public Library. 100 Patriot Front neo-Nazis marched through Boston that day, without any hindrance. After attacking Mr. Murrell, they traveled in full, public view on the MBTA to Oak Grove station in Malden, entered their vehicles and drove away.
Attacks and violent harassment of transgender people have also reached epidemic levels in Massachusetts, from Boston to Fall River. Numerous community events have been attacked by these far-right extremists. In recent months, two bomb threats have been called in to Boston Children’s Hospital, which provides transgender health service, requiring evacuations each time.
Call to Action Endorsement and Pledge
Please indicate your support to join with us to combat violence and hate.
I (my union/Executive Board or labor body) pledge to join with my union siblings to organize resistance to Neo-Nazi activity in Massachusetts:
