Evan For Cambridge - Phonebanking July 1st
Evan For Cambridge - Phonebanking July 1st
July 1, 2026 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
TBD, TBD
Join neighbors and supporters of our movement to call voters in order to help get Evan elected!
This week we’ve also seen incredible victories in the form of sweeping electoral wins across NYC & Denver. We will have for the first time in the history of this country a Democratic Socialist Caucus in Congress - with 5 DSA members!!
What’s clear is that working people are fighting back against our capitalist enemies, and it is scaring the establishment that democratic socialists can win & govern!
Here in Massachusetts, we have our own opportunity to demonstrate the power of people over profit, in the form of DSA endorsed candidate, Evan Mackay. Winning Evan’s election will not be easy. The Democratic Party machine is against us, and wants to defeat our movement. This is our opportunity to reach voters, and convince them that a better world, a more democratic and transparent state house, is possible. But it will take every single one of us to make this happen.
Join us for a special phonebank to kick off the last six weeks of this campaign!
---
Massachusetts needs an honest, accountable, and effective state government that can deliver on our values and stand up to the Trump administration. Wear multiple layers and warm clothes, and bring your positivity and enthusiasm 😊
Evan MacKay is a union leader, pro-democracy organizer, and a Harvard teaching fellow. As a Cambridge LGBTQ+ Commissioner and the former president of the Harvard Graduate Students’ Union, they’ve been organizing in Cambridge around issues of social, racial, environmental, and economic justice for over a decade.
Evan is running for state representative in the 25th Middlesex District to fight for a transparent, accountable government that works for the many, not the few. This campaign isn't about one person. It's about a movement for a better world against a corrupt, self-dealing status quo of Democratic state house leadership.

Phonebank For Parking Reform and Social Housing
Phonebank For Parking Reform and Social Housing
July 27, 2026 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Online
Phonebank: Parking Reform Today, Social Housing Tomorrow
The
time has come to organize for social housing in Boston proper! As a
first step to winning permanently affordable, publicly owned,
mixed-income social housing, the HWG is asking folks to support efforts
to eliminate parking mandates for new housing in Boston.
Parking
mandates drive up the cost of building new housing, and nearly 30% of
parking that is built goes unused! As long as this restriction is in
place, it will be difficult to build social housing. The Boston City
Council is considering eliminating parking mandates after a hearing on
the matter last week. Join for the Housing Working Group to phonebank DSA members in Boston and encourage them to write to their city councilor in support of parking reform and social housing.
