Join the Boston DSA running contingent as we run with Brazilian Worker Center's 5k for Justice at Jamaica Pond on Sunday October 4th. A race with a purpose, the 5K for Justice is an annual event that raises awareness and funds for immigrant and worker rights. More than just a run, it symbolizes solidarity, resilience, and the collective fight for justice.

Take the following steps to run with our group on October 4th!

1) Register for the race at 5kforjustice.com. Registration costs $25 Early Bird or $35 General Registration.

2) Then fill out this event page form to be added to a contingent groupchat by a Running Club Captain. No Member In Good Standing turned away for lack of funds! Please
indicate in our signup form if cost is prohibitive and a Running Club
Captain will locate reimbursement for you. Depending on group size and desired pacing, our DSA group may split into faster pace and party pace. Details to come!

3) There will be a social after the 5k! Stay tuned for more information.

Join BDSA and BSWAC to support sex workers at Cambridge city council. A proposal cosponsored by our very own Socialist in Office Jivan Sobrinho-Wheeler aims to begin decriminalizing sex work in Cambridge and providing protections for workers in the industry. Read the proposal here. Decriminalization of consensual sex work is proven to improve conditions for workers and increase safety for those experiencing coercion.

We'll be meeting outside city hall at 5 pm before the meeting starts at 5:30. It is expected to last several hours and you are welcome to come late or leave early. Wear red or pink to show your support!

Join Boston AfroSoC and the Boston DSA Roxbury neighborhood group for a screening of Where Do Black Men Live. This film was created by an organization called The Black Response (TBR) and is based on real interviews of black men in Cambridge facing housing insecurity. The film goes into real life experiences of 8 black men and their experiences with policing, poverty, incarceration, public housing policy and parenthood and how it all connects back to a central theme, housing insecurity.
