LUCE is hosting a 24-hour vigil at the Massachusetts State house to honor the lives of those who have been killed, support communities impacted by immigration enforcement, and affirm our collective power to grieve, organize, and demand justice.

Boston DSA is supporting this action by turning out for the midnight to 2am shift.

Learn basic and advanced skills in Google Sheets and how to apply them to your organizing at this free, in-person training!

We'll provide demos for the group, pausing for questions and practice activities to test what you've learned. At the end, participants will be given the final project: A spreadsheet (DSA organizing themed!) to transform using the skills they've learned.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops & charging cords if possible, however there will be a few BPL laptop and desktop computers available.

• Managing data (arrange, sort, filter)
• Formatting (colors, borders, alignment, number formats)
• Basic functions (=SUM, =AVERAGE)
• Tables (smart chips, table references, pivot tables)
• Charts
• Data validation (dropdowns, date entry restrictions)
• Advanced functions (=IF, =COUNT, etc.)
• Conditional formatting
• Miscellaneous (named ranges, absolute references, themes)
