• Evan For Cambridge - Trans Day of Visibility Rally & Canvassing

    March 29, 2026 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Cambridge Common, 36 Waterhouse street, Cambridge MA, 02138

Join us for a rally and canvass to commemorate Trans Day of Visibility. As Cambridge residents, we are stronger when each of us is safe to be ourselves, to learn from our neighbors, and to lean on each other in moments of crisis.

When we come together, we are unstoppable. Right now, attacks on the trans community are escalating.

Even as housing, childcare, and utility costs are rising, the Trump administration and its corporate backers are spending billions on ad blitzes and lawyers trying to bully transgender people out of public life. On Trans Day of Visibility we celebrate trans and non-binary people, celebrate resilience, and and fight for everything we deserve.

The rally will begin at 12pm with speakers from our community, and a chance to come together to celebrate the trans community. At the end of the rally, we will be trained on canvassing, and head out into the neighborhood to talk to neighbors about trans rights, and electing Evan MacKay to state representative for the 25th Middlesex District. This will be a MEGA canvass to reach the entire district that will start around 1pm.

Canvassing training will take place at the end of the rally no previous canvassing experience necessary.

Evan MacKay is a union leader, pro-democracy organizer, and a Harvard teaching fellow. As a Cambridge LGBTQ+ Commissioner and the former president of the Harvard Graduate Students’ Union, they've been organizing in Cambridge around issues of social, racial, environmental, and economic justice for over a decade.

Evan is running for state representative in the 25th Middlesex District to fight for a transparent, accountable government that works for the many, not the few. This campaign isn't about one person. It's about a movement for a better world against a corrupt, self-dealing status quo of Democratic state house leadership.
