    ---

Massachusetts needs an honest, accountable, and effective state government that can deliver on our values and stand up to the Trump administration. Wear multiple layers and warm clothes, and bring your positivity and enthusiasm 😊
Evan MacKay is a union leader, pro-democracy organizer, and a Harvard teaching fellow. As a Cambridge LGBTQ+ Commissioner and the former president of the Harvard Graduate Students’ Union, they’ve been organizing in Cambridge around issues of social, racial, environmental, and economic justice for over a decade.
Evan is running for state representative in the 25th Middlesex District to fight for a transparent, accountable government that works for the many, not the few. This campaign isn't about one person. It's about a movement for a better world against a corrupt, self-dealing status quo of Democratic state house leadership.

  • Phonebank For Parking Reform and Social Housing

    June 22, 2026 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
    Online

Phonebank: Parking Reform Today, Social Housing Tomorrow

    The
time has come to organize for social housing in Boston proper! As a
first step to winning permanently affordable, publicly owned,
mixed-income social housing, the HWG is asking folks to support efforts
to eliminate parking mandates for new housing in Boston
    Parking
mandates drive up the cost of building new housing, and nearly 40% of
parking that is built goes unused! As long as this restriction is in
place, it will be difficult to build social housing. The Boston City
Council is considering eliminating parking mandates after a hearing on
the matter last week. Join for the Housing Working Group to phonebank DSA members in Boston and encourage them to write to their city councilor in support of parking reform and social housing.
