Upcoming Events

Boston is having a public meeting at 6pm on Tuesday, May 26th to allow for public comment on the city's proposed budget for next year. We're meeting outside of Boston City Hall in the Government Center Plaza at 5:45pm. All are welcome to give public comment or simply observe and provide support! We're asking all commenters to ask that the budget address the issues below (but feel free to make it your own and speak to your own experiences!):

1. Open new public restrooms in high-traffic areas, particularly near T stations, to ensure as many Boston residents and visitors as possible have access to this critical public infrastructure.

2. Improve the experience of using existing public restrooms by extending hours, increasing maintenance frequency, implementing accessibility upgrades, and updating public-facing information to bring us as close as possible to free, 24/7, clean, universally accessible public restrooms.

3. Reverse any cuts to the Building Operations, Public Facilities, and Parks Operations budgets that would lead to eliminating or reducing maintenance frequency of Boston's public restrooms.
