    March 1, 2026 @ 11:00 am - 11:00 am
Jessy's Place, 60 Island St, Lawrence MA, 01840

New to DSA or just curious about joining? Meet other members of the Boston DSA Merrimack Valley Neighborhood Group, Sunday, March 1st, at Jessy's Place in Lawrence, 11am-1pm,for a friendly, casual social.

This is a great chance to chat with fellow democratic socialists, learn more about the chapter's priorities—like passing rent control, tenant organizing, and the Safe Communities Act—and see what organizing in the Merrimack Valley looks like.

We encourage new and prospective members to join us during the first hour, but you are welcome to join at anytime! We'll have DSA lit at our table.

Everyone attending is expected to follow Boston DSA's Code of Conduct. We are committed to an environment free of harassment and exclusionary behavior. A member of our designated safety team will be present. If you have any concerns, experience a violation of our conduct standards, or need assistance with de-escalation, please speak with the designated safety person (they will be introduced at the start of the hour).

Massachusetts needs an honest, accountable, and effective state government that can deliver on our values and stand up to the Trump administration. Wear multiple layers and warm clothes, and bring your positivity and enthusiasm 😊
Evan MacKay is a union leader, pro-democracy organizer, and a Harvard teaching fellow. As a Cambridge LGBTQ+ Commissioner and the former president of the Harvard Graduate Students’ Union, I’ve been organizing in Cambridge around issues of social, racial, environmental, and economic justice for over a decade.
Evan is running for state representative in the 25th Middlesex District to fight for a transparent, accountable government that works for the many, not the few. This campaign isn't about one person. It's about a movement for a better world against a corrupt, self-dealing status quo of Democratic state house leadership.
