Over the last year, we’ve been organizing around the Massachusetts Medicare for All bill to guarantee a single payer, universal health insurance system in the state. We’ve been working with Mass-Care on a nonbinding ballot question campaign for the bill in 20 districts around the state. Our members gathered signatures to get the question on the ballot, gave presentations at different community groups, and crowd-canvassed, not only in Boston but also in the Western part of the state. We’re ecstatic to share that the ballot question won in all 20 districts it was run in! There is clear support for M4A in Massachusetts and now we’re working to build on this support.
We’ve also been working with the Socialist Feminist WG on their Expose Fake Clinics campaign to expose “Crisis Pregnancy Centers.” We’ve spoken at rallies outside of CPCs in Boston and are planning a flyering campaign to educate the public on the dangers of these clinics.
