Who We Are

Boston DSA is the Eastern MA chapter of Democratic Socialists of America.

 

We are working against the oppressive capitalist system in its many forms. We see these oppressions — economic inequality, patriarchy, white supremacy, to name a few — as interlinked, intersecting, and inseparable.

 

Join us in building mass movements for the world we deserve and growing an openly socialist presence in communities and politics in the Greater Boston Area.

Join a Boston DSA Working Group

Boston DSA’s working groups carry out the external political work of the chapter. Working groups are centered strategies such as labor organizing (supporting striking workers and educators) or socialist electoral politics (challenging the legislative system). We’re fighting Warren and Markey by building a mass base around three critical issues – a permanent ceasefire, ending weapons shipments to Israel, and delivering immediate relief for Gaza.   • DSA On the Line with Blue Bottle Independent Union | Black Friday on Newbury Street!

    Blue Bottle Coffee, 163 Newbury Street, Boston MA, 02116

    Come to the Newbury Street Blue Bottle Coffee location as we march on the picket line with Blue Bottle Independent Union workers.

    Our chapter will meet at the picket line at 8am, joined by the workers on strike from Starbucks Workers Union—official
    signs will be provided by BBIU on the picket line, so bring yourself and maybe a friend or family member. Remember to dress warmly, as we will be outside in the elements!

    We will finish our picket line by sharing a potluck at the Community Church of Boston starting at 5pm. If you're able, please bring a dish, snack, or beverage to share!

  • November South Shore Social - Bowling!

    hang with South Shore DSA comrades!

    Join South Shore DSA for candlepin bowling at Olindy's, 170 Quincy Ave. Quincy, MA 02169, starting 2:00pm for a couple of games (unless we feel compelled to play more!), so soft end at 4:00pm. Hard stop is 8:00pm on that day, when Olindy's closes. They sell some refreshments on site, and do not allow outside food.

    This is a great chance to generally get to know one another, have fun, and grow the community of
    active socialists on the South Shore. DSA curious and members from other parts of the chapter are welcome as well!
