Who We Are
Boston DSA is the Eastern MA chapter of Democratic Socialists of America.
We are working against the oppressive capitalist system in its many forms. We see these oppressions — economic inequality, patriarchy, white supremacy, to name a few — as interlinked, intersecting, and inseparable.
Join us in building mass movements for the world we deserve and growing an openly socialist presence in communities and politics in the Greater Boston Area.

Join a Boston DSA Working Group
Boston DSA’s working groups carry out the external political work of the chapter. Working groups are centered strategies such as labor organizing (supporting striking workers and educators) or socialist electoral politics (challenging the legislative system). Learn about the working groups and find your organizing home within the chapter.

Working Group Spotlight: Palestine
Join the Palestine Working Group! We’re fighting Warren and Markey by building a mass base around three critical issues – a permanent ceasefire, ending weapons shipments to Israel, and delivering immediate relief for Gaza. For the first time in history, the American people are on the side of Palestine – help us organize them!

Cambridge , 02138Join as we gather for a community meeting on March 16th, a virtual version of our community meeting on March 6th.
Tax Harvard campaign seeks to pressure both Harvard & City Manager as negotiations between the parties for another 20 year term agreement are happening right now behind closed doors while our communities are being shut out and Harvard PILOTs (or payments-in-lieu of taxes) to the city are only $4.5million/yr.
The campaign aims to bring neighbors together to ask how Harvard can better serve the community with its ample resources.

Structured Organizing Conversations Training (co-sponsored by Onboarding & Membership Team) - 3/16
March 16, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
OnlineIndividual conversations are the building blocks of our movement. We talk to one another to inspire each other to action, to have a sense of agency in a world where we otherwise feel powerless, and to take care of one another. One-on-one conversations are essential to labor and tenant organizing as well as onboarding and activation in any volunteer-run space. In this training, you will learn and practice how to structure and have these conversations!
This Zoom-only training will focus on how to ask individuals to get more involved in our work and take on roles of responsibility. All members are welcome, though anyone interested in helping grow our chapter by talking to new members is highly encouraged to attend.
